Across Latin America, food is more than a meal. It's an event. It's a celebration that's shared, savored and enjoyed with the finest spirits. Discover the tantalizing cuisine of Toro Toro Pan Latin Steakhouse, brought to the Washington DC area by acclaimed Chef, Richard Sandoval. Toro Toro combines the warmth of Latin American dining with a trendy New York City-esque lounge environment.

"From the diverse selection of food--especially meats--to the frequent, generous servings of mimosas (with a variety of flavors) and the make-your-own bloody Mary bar, again with several options, Toro Toro's brunch is the definition of unlimited for a very reasonable price.
The dessert selection seems scant in comparison to the abundance of food (and the mini cupcakes weren't particularly flavorful), but this is an excellent spot to bring visitors or to just get together with friends. The flat price also makes handling the bill a breeze. I will return again and again."

Thunder Burger & Bar brings an edgy, rock & roll dining experience to the heart of Georgetown. Our mouthwateringly juicy and generously sized signature burgers are affordable works of art. A full selection of appetizers, refreshing salads, creative entrees and decadent home-made desserts offer a variety of dining options. Whether seated at the trendy bar, the graffiti highlighted banquettes and booths, or our ivy covered library room, sample from a large selection of American craft micro-brew beers and fine whiskeys. No matter the occasion, intimate dates, groups and families alike, enjoy the comfortable and energetic atmosphere with highly attentive service. Weekend Brunch now available, and a late-night menu is also available every evening.

"This was an excellent choice for a spot to reunite with friends. The atmosphere is lively but not noisy. Space is at a premium, so the vibe was definitely cozy, but without feeling too cramped.
The corned beef got a thumbs up; everyone who ordered some variety of the poached eggs was generally pleased, except that one egg (out of 6) was cooked through instead of runny. The one universal disappointment was the "breakfast potatoes," which could not possibly have been freshly made based on texture and flavor.
Excellent mojitos and Bloody Marys and a great server, however, more than made up for this. I will definitely return to try the adventurous burger offerings."

Kramerbooks & Afterwords Cafe, opened in 1976, was the first Bookstore/Cafe in the country to feature Dinner, Lunch, Breakfast, Brunch & Late Supper as well as offering complete bar service, 18 drafts and wine by the glass and bottle. Since its inception, it has established itself as "Washington's pre-eminent café.'

' From The Washington Post: "The action at Kramerbooks & Afterwords starts with breakfast and the morning papers at 7:30 AM, and keeps throbbing until well after midnight, 7 days a week, complete with indoor and sidewalk cafes, a full-service bar and live entertainment. The sounds are diverting, the smells are delicious, the sights are tempting."

"Kramerbooks & Afterwords Cafe is usually top of my list for relaxing at the bar with a book or just to people watch. This time I tried the brunch and was very happy with the substantial crab cake omelette, served with a side of roasted potatoes and a light lemon hollandaise. The complimentary plate of mini muffins and breads, with a dollop of jam on the side, was also a lovely touch. There's a constant buzz of conversation that isn't at all intrusive and our server was very personable. All in all, a wonderfully low-key experience."

Restaurant Marvin has been serving Belgian cuisine, American soul food-inspired dishes, and soulful sounds to the Shaw neighborhood of Washington, DC since 2007. Our cozy bistro on the first floor is the perfect spot for an intimate dinner while the upstairs lounge, private dining room, and rooftop bar epitomize the best of DC nightlife.

"Considering the club vibe upstairs, I didn't have high expectations for the restaurant. But I was very happily surpluses by the Liver & Onions dish. My companions enjoyed their Chicken & Waffles and Shrimp & Grits.
The one off note was the overwhelming flavor of cardamom in the Brussels sprouts. I couldn't finish then.
Otherwise, this was a great way to start our night out. And the French bartender on the ground floor was adorable and friendly, as well as quite knowledgable."

"We had a fantastic deal on food & drink and feasted for over two hours. Every sushi option we tried was delicious (especially the volcano and slap slap rolls) and the wine complemented it perfectly. The empanadas were not very well received; perhaps Fujimar should lean more toward Asian than Latin. Otherwise, the chic decor and plush seats made for a wonderful evening overall."

Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar features Nuevo Cubano cuisine by two-time James Beard award-winning Chef Guillermo Pernot. Pernot's menus feature tantalizing tastes that are derived from the exotic island"s culinary traditions, which include Spanish, African, Creole and Asian influences. The restaurant's atmosphere transports guests to Old Havana circa the 1950s. One-of-a-kind millwork and architectural salvage including unique doors, gates, cabinetry, furniture and accessories help capture the essence of old Cuban architecture. Colorful exotic foliage and large potted palm trees add to Cuba Libre's open-air, tropical ambiance. Featuring a selection of over 70 rums, Cuba Libre's uniquely refreshing house specialty, the mojito, is made from the authentic Cuban recipe of combining rum, fresh lime juice, fresh mint leaves, a splash of soda and most distinctively, guarapo, sugar cane juice pressed daily on site.
