"Aside from one slightly obnoxious host (the hostess at the door was very sweet), my companion and I enjoyed our meal. We tried the two hash brown specials and I was very happy with the server's recommendation of the version with duck, although it wasn't as tender as I would have expected. The Mexican Latte is strong and delicious, the atmosphere is very cozy (tables quite close), and the food is soothingly satisfying. An upscale version of Belga Cafe in SE."

St. Arnold’s is a popular Cleveland Park mussel restaurant. A must is the mussels cooked in duck fat.

"I stopped off here for an impromptu happy when mussels are $11 and appetizers are half off. I had the classic St. Arnold's mussels with duck fat and they were delicious. The serving of bread is pretty tiny and we were charged an extra $3 each for I'm not sure what since each dish is supposed to come with fries, but the half-priced bottle of Prosecco kept me happy enough. I'd go back for that alone."

Bistro La Bonne’s main dishes are favorites that range from cassoulet Toulousain (cannelloni bean stew with duck confit, sausage, smoked bacon and lamb) and navarin d’agneau aux primeurs (braised leg of lamb with tomato, carrots, turnips & green beans), to grilled merguez sausage and blanquette de fruits de mer (mussels, shrimp, scallops and salmon in a champagne cream sauce).
If you seek authentic French cooking in the Washington area, take a spin up to U Street, where executive chef/owner Daniel Labonne tackles some of France’s more complex fare with a winning hand.

Our mission is to create a memorable dining experience for any special occasion, in addition to a simple dinner date with friends or a romantic evening with that special someone. So come and “Enjoy the Journey, at Bistro La Bonne”.

"With generous servings and affordable mimosas, this was an excellent choice for brunch. My friend enjoyed the seafood omelette and my ham and Swiss cheese one was good as well. The salmon tartare was delicious and very well proportioned. The mimosas may have been cheap, but were made with much better quality ingredients than others I've had. Add a cute table outdoors in beautiful weather and a charming Parisian host, and it was altogether a lovely dining experience."

Sunday brunch, dinner, out door dining and a full late night lounge experience in an upscale dining environment. Our cuisine combines classic American fare with authentic Caribbean flavors. Special menu features include Caribbean Jerk Chicken, Red Snapper and Homemade Bread Pudding. We also feature live entertainment every Tuesday through Thursday and a DJ on Fridays and Saturdays. Society restaurant and lounge is inspired by our deep love of people, community and hearty food. We celebrate the achievements of past and present influences and promote collective involvement to advance our local community. Come and grab a drink. Stay for dinner. We welcome you to experience the best of who we are, where we go and what we eat. Ask us about our corporate happy hour specials and birthday party packages.
