As sleek as a 1930s ocean liner, yet as relaxed as a dinner on the shore, the Oceanaire provides the perfect setting to enjoy Ultra-Fresh seafood, flown in daily from around the world. Sip a Sidecar in the lounge, sidle up to the oyster bar, or kick back in a horseshoe booth before diving into a sea of Ultra-Fresh fish, including steak-cut Alaskan halibut, seasonal favorites like fresh Copper River salmon or hard-to-find delicacies like true Dover sole or bluefin tuna. Our daily-printed menu will guide you, a wine list as deep as the sea will seduce you, and the world's freshest seafood awaits you at the Oceanaire. See you soon.

"There were 7 of us and we had a great time. Our waiter was very much into dining as entertainment, which I do not like. He was great at upselling and was quite clear that he would "pour the wine until we told him to stop," which of course meant he would not ask if we wanted another bottle but simply bring it. The thing that bothered me was that I had to ask for iced tea refill 3-4 times before he or any of the servers brought it. This is a minor but very irritating thing when the check is going to be hundreds of dollars. Otherwise the food was very good and we were not rushed despite the fact that the restaurant was full."

"I enjoyed our outdoor table, and the waiter was courteous and attentive, except that it took an inordinately long time for a simple order to arrive. Others around us were served relatively quickly and our table (just 2 people) was kept waiting. The waiter explained that there was a large party dining as well and that that had delayed our order. Yet others were served much more quickly. The food was fine. We ordered the coconut cream "pie" and it turns out it is a somewhat deconstructed version with a tart shell that was hard to break and coconut custard and a great deal of whipped cream on top. I would have preferred the traditional pie crust with custard and then whipped cream--easier to eat."

Sitting on a quiet residential street in Georgetown, 1789 Restaurant has the charm of a historic country inn. "When we reserved we indicated it was our wedding anniversary and throughout the evening we were congratulated by staff, given special menus, and a final card from staff and management. The service was outstanding and the food was excellent. Definitely a "special occasion" place!"
