An earthy yet sophisticated approach to Italian cuisine, Scarpetta was created by award-winning chef Scott Conant and features a soulful menu of seasonally-inspired fare. "Ambience is amazing with view of bellagio fountains. Pasta was extraordinary -- rich flavors and texture esp the duck/foie gras ravioli and the beef rib. Server was borderline rude--not knowledgable about wine list, dismissed our questions. My friend also ordered a pasta with iberico and only got 2 slices of it; when she pointed this out, he came back with 2 more slices and literally dumped it on her pasta then left."

"Party of 5 so I tried all of the signature tasting menu. Foie gras brûlée is a MUST. Scallops as second course was the best. Dessert was a it disappointing...nothing wrong but nothing wowed."

This beautifully redesigned island seafood restaurant features locally caught fish fresh from the auction using high heat aromatic herb roasting or prepared with authentic local tropical flavors. A carefully chosen wine list accents the delicate seafood flavors. Open only in the evenings the venue spills out towards the Pacific with views of the water from nearly every vantage point.

Chef Martin Lackovic, formerly of Galileo, I Matti and The Caucus Room, opens Siroc Restaurant on McPherson Square with brothers Keram and Mehdi Dris, who run the front of the house. Siroc's seasonal menu features cooking inspired by Italy and the Mediterranean with housemade pastas, charcuterie, salads and entrées. The new restaurant takes its name from a wind that blows from northern Africa to Italy and the Mediterranean.
